The Spare Change Foundation is a grassroots, 100% volunteer charity organization.  We are a public charity under section 501 9c0 (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and so you may be able to deduct 100 percent of your contributions. We at Spare Change feel privileged to be in a position from which we can assist those in need.  We believe that we can make the world a better place by changing the lives of one person at a time.  We do not discriminate for any reason.   Our efforts are focused on the needs of the working poor.  When crisis strikes a person or family already fighting poverty we want to reach out to that person.  The Spare Change Foundation is currently focusing its efforts in the St. Louis Metro area.

How we operate:  Area nurses, doctors, and social workers introduce potential clients to the Spare Change Foundation.  Once the need is verified and requirements are met, the board determines an appropriate plan of action and assistance is provided.  The process is quite simple, requires no fees of any kind, and can be completed in a day’s time if necessary.
